The owners of this property wanted to change the kitchen into a living area. In the process they removed a cooking unit which had been situated in the middle of the room.
The Travertine tiles that were underneath had remained untouched and were in very good condition. This was in comparison to the rest of the tiles which had collected a lot of grease and dirt with holes appearing. The surface had completely worn without any finish after years of wear. The owners contacted MCS Stonecare after reading reviews on Checkatrade. We arrived to do a test area and the result was very good. The floor also needed some extra tiles fitted where previous units had been with no tiles underneath.
A tiler had been booked to fit them and a date was arranged to start the works. This was booked for approximately 3 days after the replacement tiles had been fitted.
The result of the finished floor was spectacular. Many types of procedures were used to achieve the desired result. We also made the finish of the replacement tiles match the finish of the originally laid tiles. This is incredibly important to offer the best possible results.
The owners where delighted with the result, saying the floor looked brand new. A maintenance plan has been put in place to keep the travertine floor looking the way it should.
