Cleaning travertine floors can sometimes be problematic because of their light colouration. Lighter coloured tiles are often accompanied by lighter coloured grout. When cleaning stone floors, dirt and grime can often be pushed from the surface of the tiles into the recessed grout lines. Grout in itself is a porous material. Therefore, it soaks into it and becomes unsightly staining.

Grout can be quite a challenge to deep clean. It is important that you use the correct cleaning products and techniques in order to get your grout looking better, without damaging the surface of the surrounding tiles.
