Many like the colouration of the tiles and the fact they are available in a variety of grades. This means that you are able to select a tile based on any budget requirements you might have.
Travertine Cleaning – Why Do Tiles Need Cleaning?
Natural stone is a wonderful material. It looks incredible, is hardwearing but needs routine care. This does not mean hard work, sweat and tears. Instead, it means getting to know your home and your floors and building plan around that so that you can keep your travertine tiles looking at their best.
Dirt and grime will get dragged in from outside on your shoes and feet. This works to deteriorate the surface of your tiles. Once this happens over time, dirt starts to become ingrained and starts to discolour the tile’s surface. Furthermore, dirt tends to gather in your grout lines, and they become harder and harder to maintain and clean. This can become more unhygienic and problematic for our clients.
We were asked to clean and restore this Travertine floor for a client in Abridge. As you can see, the initial picture doesn’t necessarily show a horrifically dirty stone floor. In fact, it looks pretty good. However, our client noticed the tiles were becoming harder to clean and had just lost their lustre. Once restored and protected with a stone sealer, they looked gleaming. Our client’s opinion of our services is so important.
