Carpet Cleaning: Our Service –

Following the survey by MCS, dry soil removal is the first step of the cleaning process. Dry soil left in carpets and fabrics can be a major cause for re-soiling problems. Therefore, high powered vacuum cleaners are used with beater bars to extract as much dry soil as possible.

Vacuuming also helps with a more in depth inspection of the carpet. It helps to notice spots and stains, which may need special treatment. These could have been missed on the initial survey.

We then pre-spray using safe cleaning products. This is then mechanically agitated. This gives  further help to the chemical in breaking down the soil and displaces the cleaning chemical evenly across the area. The carpet pile is also lifted and rejuvenated through this procedure.

The final process is rinse and extraction with heat carried out using our high powered a van-mounted machine leaving any moisture at the tip of the carpet fibres, resulting in a deep clean with rapid drying times.

Disposable furniture protectors are then left under legs, feet, wheels and castors where needed. The carpet is then groomed in the direction of the pile if applicable for the finishing touch.

MCS Van-Mounted Machinery:

Where possible, MCS use van- mounted machinery. This is commonly known as “Truckmounts” which out perform any portable machine using Hot Water Extraction (steam cleaning) machinery. They are at least 20 times more powerful than any other cleaning system.

The Truckmount is a completely self-sufficient system meaning there is no need for an electrical or a water supply.

This latest Truckmount used by MCS is run by an 18 HP engine which supplies pressurised water, heat and vacuum. The operator can increase and decrease individually to optimise for best results. This leaves the carpets drier and deeper cleaned.

Other benefits with this system is the supply and recovery tanks these are also mounted on the van, so there is no need for the filling or emptying of buckets. With the extracted water returned to the recovery tank and not disposed of down toilets and sinks, but removed from the property.

The power of the machine means deep cleaning can be carried out 100’s of feet away from the vehicle without loss of performance making it ideal for all commercial as well as domestic cleaning.

Carpet manufacturers and retailers recommend you should have your carpets cleaned at least every 12 months and ideally at 6 monthly intervals. Some retailers and manufacturers make it a condition of their wear warranty. A dirty carpet is a unhealthy carpet, as germs, bacteria, grit, food and drink spillages are not removed by vacuuming on its own. FACT.

Grit and the contaminants mentioned act as a abrasion against the carpet fibre. Regular cleaning  will keep your carpets looking cleaner and lasting longer.
