This new build modern day mansion had 5 marble floor bathrooms with a Mosaic tile finish. MCS were called in by the building contractors of the site as their client had requested that they wanted the floor grout levels at the same level as the tiles so there was not a recess. The tiles were also of a Honed finish (unpolished) and they preferred a Polished finish.

If we could not find a solution to fix the floors it meant that the floors would have to be ripped out. All of the bathrooms would have to be replaced with the cost being a small fortune to do this and putting back the handover of keys months behind.

To get the tiles flat for a mosaic pattern is very difficult in itself. To get the required effect, we suggested one floor was completely covered with grout. This would mean that the grout was raised above the tile, so the floor could be ground back using industrial diamonds to leave a flat polished finish.

This was slow painstaking work, but we achieved the required result. After completing the first bathroom, which everyone concerned was happy with, the other bathrooms were also completed. The contractors and client were extremely pleased with the result. This meant that also the completion of the build could be scheduled to finish on time.

This project provides an example of our time-served experience as stone floor cleaning and restoration specialists. We were able to draw on our experience to formulate a successful plan. This project demanded high skill levels, and although we were confident with our skill-set it is always great to receive such great feedback.
